The agreement

These terms are the rules for using this Sodality instance. By signing in, creating an account, or finishing sign-up, you agree to them, and to the Privacy policy and Cookie policy.

Sodality is a fellowship of circles. Friend requests and most messaging work when you share a circle, or when you stay friends after you leave.

Age

You must be 13 or older. If you are 17 or under, a registered parent or guardian on this site must approve your account. Circle owners may set a higher age limit.

Your account

Keep your email and password (if you use one) under your control. You are responsible for what is posted from your account.

Pick a handle that does not impersonate someone else. The instance operator can disable accounts that break these terms or the law.

Circles and conduct

Follow each circle’s rules if it has them. You may have to tick “I agree” before you join.

Do not spam, harass, threaten, or post illegal content. Do not share other people’s private information. Do not try to break into the site or other accounts.

Circle admins may remove members for any reason they choose, including no stated reason. Platform admins may hide circles or disable users.

Your content

You keep the rights you already have in what you post. You give this instance a license to store, display, and deliver that content to people who are allowed to see it (circle members, friends, or the public, depending on settings).

Photos and files you upload are stored so the site can show them. Do not upload content you do not have the right to share.

Place

You can type a ZIP, city, region, and country in Settings, or tap Find my location (or Local / Regional / Worldwide on a feed) to estimate those from GPS. We use that place to match local and regional circles. It is optional, but those filters will not work well without a place. We only request GPS when you tap those buttons. Do not put a place that is not yours if you want those filters to make sense. On a public profile you can hide city (and ZIP) or city and state/region; INCOGNITO then appears on the address line. The full place still stays in Settings for matching.

Reports and safety

You can report a person, post, or circle. Reports go to platform admins and, for circle content, to that circle’s staff. False reports may themselves be a rules problem.

The service

This instance is provided as-is. It may go down, lose data, or change. The operator does not owe uninterrupted service.

Optional AI features use a provider the operator configures. Outputs can be wrong. You are still responsible for what you post.

Ending use

You may stop using the site and ask the operator to disable or remove your account. We may disable an account or hide a circle that breaks these terms or the law.

Changes

We may update these terms. Continued use after we post a change means you accept the new terms. Last updated August 25, 2026.
